Foundry Football Club is a new kind of elite youth soccer club — development-first, character-driven, and built for players who deserve better coaching.
Scroll to exploreWho We Are
Foundry FC was built from the ground up on one conviction: youth soccer can be done better. More integrity. A clear player pathway. And a development-first commitment.
Our Director of Coaching sets the curriculum for every team, every age group. There is no variation in philosophy across Foundry FC. Every player is developed with the same intentionality and care.
We take the work of development seriously — at every age, every level, every session.
We coach and operate with honesty, even when it's hard. No politics. No surprises.
We develop players who can handle adversity on the pitch and in life.
Every player who earns a spot here belongs here, regardless of background or means.
We think long-term, always — developing the player in front of us and planning for where they're going next.
Coaching Staff
Devin Payton brings over 25 years of player and coach development experience to Foundry Football Club. Throughout his career, he has worked with players at every level — from grassroots development through ECNL and ODP — building a reputation as one of the most respected development coaches in the DMV region. Devin holds a USSF Pro B license and has coached youth futsal teams to victory in two US Futsal National Championships.
Prior to his coaching career, Devin played professional soccer in Brazil, throughout the United States, and on the US Men's Futsal National Team. He is fluent in Spanish.
At Foundry FC, Devin oversees all technical curriculum and coaching standards across every age group. His philosophy centers on building technically complete, mentally resilient players who understand the game deeply — and who carry the character they develop on the field into everything they do.
"Development isn't a shortcut. It's a commitment — to the player, to the process, and to doing the work right."

Player Development
We develop players at every stage and build an environment where elite players emerge confidently.
U8–U9. Ball mastery, movement, love of the game. Winning is irrelevant. Development is everything.
U10–U11. Technical precision, tactical awareness, mental strength. Real coaching, real feedback.
U12–U14 (boys) / U12–U13 (girls). High-level league play, regional competition. Character is non-negotiable.
U14+. Identified players enter elite pathways. College recruiting prep begins. The platform is built for players who are ready.
Got Questions?
Foundry FC prioritizes player development over game results. We run an 11-month program — one month longer than most clubs in our area — to ensure players stay sharp during summer and winter. Training is three times per week for 1.5 hours per session. Training frequency and length may be less for our youngest age groups to remain developmentally appropriate.
Teams play a regular league schedule in fall and spring and four tournaments per year. The program includes a winter futsal program led by our Director of Coaching, Devin Payton, a former US Men's Futsal National Team player who has coached youth teams to US Futsal National Championships. Futsal isn't a side program here — it's central to how we develop players.
Every team, every age group, every session runs on the same coaching curriculum — both girls and boys, regardless of coach. Rostered players will receive additional details in their player packets.
Our Director of Coaching, Devin Payton — a Montgomery County native with over 25 years of coaching and player development experience — oversees Foundry FC's coaching staff. Coach Devin holds a USSF Pro B coaching license and has coached at some of the most competitive programs in the region, including ECNL teams at Bethesda Soccer Club, Potomac Soccer Association, and the Olympic Development Program (ODP). He has helped place over 25 players at Division 1 colleges and universities.
Coach Devin will head coach 2–3 teams during the 2026–2027 season, alongside at least 3 additional head coaches, all following the same curriculum. All head coaches will hold a USSF D coaching license at minimum. We will announce the full slate of coaches this summer, after their current coaching contracts end.
All Foundry FC staff and volunteers complete SafeSport certification and background checks.
Outdoor and indoor training will take place at fields and facilities within Montgomery County, typically within the Rockville, Olney, Gaithersburg, Potomac, and Bethesda areas. We anticipate training will take place Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. Fields and training details will be confirmed this summer and communicated to rostered players. Our goal is to keep travel time manageable for families — we know your evenings are full.
We're fortunate to be in a soccer-rich community with competitive clubs within reasonable driving distances. Older Foundry FC teams will play in EDP or NCSL, while younger teams will play in EDP Futures, EDP CMSSL, SAM Select, or MDSL.
Teams will play in four tournaments per year, in addition to regular league play in fall and spring. For teams or families who want more tournament play, we're happy to identify opportunities, although additional tournament fees would apply.
Player fees cover an 11-month soccer program, including training 3x per week, league play (fall, winter futsal, spring), winter futsal training, 4 tournaments, and game recordings. Uniforms are not included.
For the 2026–2027 season, player fees are: U8 $2,595 · U9 $2,695 · U10 $2,795 · U11 $2,995 · U12 $3,195 · U13 $3,395 · U14 $3,595
Yes! Coach Devin is offering clinics for girls and boys of all ages to help jumpstart their pathway with Foundry FC. Clinic details will be posted on our website and socials (@foundry_fc). Contact us at admin@foundryfc.com for more information.
